I’ve heard of this saying somewhere “If you’re born poor it’s not your fault; but if you die poor, it’s definitely your fault.” Do you know the source of this quote? And do you agree on this? I feel it is not right to a certain extent. This is the perspective of a born rich person. As per my experience Time and Luck are the prime factors in all this. One day some one asked God… “God, you created the world because you loved it right? Then why are you allowing poverty and hunger destroy it? Aren’t you going to do anything about it?” Then God replied… “Yes I am…that’s why I created you!”
Can we ever live in a world where there wouldn’t be poverty? Will such a ‘perfect’ world be ‘healthy’? I mean, what if all are engineers, doctors and film stars… there won’t be any masons, or security guards, or garbage cleaners anymore! Don’t you think they are as important as others in building our world? Poverty or Richness is pre destined .. we have to suffer what the destiny has in store for us ….but we should humbly deal with the POORs because they are poor not because of their deeds but because of their luck… Mother Teresa once told… “The hunger for love is worse than hunger for food…”. In today’s world, I think its the other way round. I mean why will a malnutritioned child care for who loves him and who doesn’t. They’re just craving for a morsel of food, so that they can take each breath with ease! They need a life first, then the love…
Does it itch or prick you when you pass by a beggar, near the church, temple or elsewhere? When your having dinner at a local restaurant with your family and a boy of your age, probably younger, comes to wipe the table. He doesn’t even look at any of your faces… one because the table is his workplace, second he’s the least bothered about you!
I’ve tried this out, and I suggest you try it once too… that a smile and a nice small-talk just makes his day!
you realise that, it would be your time to leave earth, and your next generation will have to pay the price!”

ELEVEN POINTs SOMEONE.......
Not to be confused with the Chetan Bhagat creation, i am referring eleven points of someone/everyone's life. Following are the hints of life.
1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.
3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
4. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
6. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you
smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day
seem bright.
7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go,be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
8. Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may heal and bless.
10. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die,

WHOSE DAY IS IT ANYWAY??.
1ST April.. “whose day is it anyway…” is it All fools’ day or New Year’s day for us (The Indians), if it’s the beginning of the New Year, so why we make one another April Fool on this day, it’s our foolishness to start the New Year by making or being fool..as per my “a little bit” knowledge is concerned, there is no trace of folly on this day in the Indian history.. because the calendar reform was not done in India or by Indians so why we make this New Year’s day as All fools’ day, just because the westerns do so?????..therefore no pranks, no practical jokes ,no FOOLing around at all , because its our day. Happy New Year to All…..

LET THERE BE NO LIGHT.......
Earth Hour-Today switch off the electricity for one hour to save the Nature, Climate, Environment and Earth from global warming, but what is so special for us, dear WWF due to the constant cooperation of the Hydel Department, PVVNL.UPPCL or UPSEB we the people of Uttar Pradesh have a lot of such hours every day round the year. I don’t remember even a day with no power cuts at all. We used to have at least 10 Earth Hours every day in the year. Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when about 2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change, they really did a gr8 job because they don’t have to suffer the power cuts on routine basis, they know nothing about regular power cuts they thought that they have sacrificed one hour for the sake of nature and climate , but in our country INDIA specially in the state Uttar Pradesh ,Madhya Pradesh , Bihar etc..etc…there has never been a single day without any power cut, the people living here craves for regular supply of electricity and they get one hour supply after a 5 hours wait, and again supply interrupt after 2 hours for indefinite time. I am not against the initiative taken by WWF known as World Wildlife Fund in fact Earth Hour has done a lot to raise awareness of climate change issues. And there’s more to it than switching off lights for one hour once a year. It’s all about giving people a voice on the future of our planet and working together to create a sustainable low carbon future for our planet, but we the citizens of India contribute lots of such Earth Hours every day…
Therefore in this field our contribution is leading…anyway ‘LET THERE BE NO LIGHT’ 8.30pm-9.30pm

WE SHALL OVERCOME..someday.
We shall overcome, we shall overcome, We shall overcome some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day
We shall all be free, we shall all be free, We shall all be free some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day
We shall live in peace, we shall live in peace, We shall live in peace some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day
These lines are from a song that became a key anthem of the US civil rights movement. Since its rise to prominence, they really overcame subsequently..but!!!!!!!!!!!....
In India, renowned poet Girija Kumar Mathur composed its literal translation in Hindi "Hum Honge Kaamyab / Ek Din" and since then, we Indians sing this song as national anthem.
Now sixty three years after independence we still sing Hum honge kamyab, Hum honge kamyab, Hum honge kamyab ek din…………………. but kis din, kab ayega who din….????????????????is there anyone who can answer my question..???????????????
We still could not overcome our corrupt political system… We still could not overcome our illiteracy, we still are not able to fight back poverty, even the starvation is not eradicated, the suicide committed by our farmers every year is the burning example. Is this the way “Hum honge kamyab ek din,
Unemployment among educated youth is growing every day, sometime it is considered due to slow down and sometime it is because of other reasons. The intellectuals are getting paranoid in frustration because they have skills but they don’t have platform to show their skills. If one has power to sell a comb to a bald headed person he will get the job,if one has quality to make others fool, he will definitely get the job, but if one has talent and power to perform his duty with ethics and values, he will never get the job …because our countries, industrial growth has become fully sales oriented… is this the healthy trade practice???? is this the way “Hum honge kamyab ek din. The real talent is roaming in search of jobs while even the below average talented/educated are on the higher level of the jobs, what is this?? Is this the way “Hum honge kamyab ek din,
The pre-existing upper class is scaling the new heights while the lower class is going down (in)to earth. Every year a number of scams made by our politicians come to the light, but what happens thereafter… the issues become subsided . No one is there to raise the voice ..No one is there to point a finger .In the country where people commit suicide due to demonic poverty and starvation , on the other side the garland made of currency notes being offered to the Ministers what is this?? is this the way “Hum honge kamyab ek din,
In the country where all the religions are treated/considered with due respect..on the other side the religious mafia is flourishing rapidly and we the “emotional fools”, prejudiced, innocent Indians get subjected to the evil deeds of Babas , Sants, Hermits, roaming here and there wearing the mask of religion and running their shops in the name of God. is this the way “Hum honge kamyab ek din.
After freedom we have come a long way but still we are left behind ,if compared to other countries even the small countries have become developed , we are still developing … when the foreign countries started to use 4G we still wait for 3G. We still fail to eradicate polio from our country while pulse polio is operating since 1995 on the other hand in the foreign countries genetic modification is done very easily and commonly…so how do we endeavor to boast our selves in front of foreign countries we only know to copy their culture but we are deep routed in corruption and superstition, we love to visit mc Donald ,Pizza hut, SubWay..blah blah blah …just to flaunt ourselves but our mentality remains as well as before, whether we put on a pair of levis or a typical Hindustani Pajama we get noticed by our activities, I am not casting aspersions on any one particularly , I just want to express where we stand. We need to change ourselves ,we need to change our thinking , a lot of home work has to be done to qualify at the global level….
This is just because of improper policies made by our Government which is elected by all of us. every time we have to bear the brunt of being Indian, because the corruption is deep rooted here….the overall weeding is required…I think one more revolution is needed in the offing .and there is no only one who is to be held responsible for all this but we all are responsible for this….
I am sorry if I have inadvertently hurt anyone, I only expressed my views on all of us who are proud to be Indian…..anyway……

Who am I ????????
An average joe…
Of course!!!!! A common man, pre-equipped with capital vices, at first a normal human being and then any one else. I am cynical to some extent because life has enforced me to be so. I am pessimistic to some extent because time has enforced me to be so. I am more susceptible to look at the darker side of anything because my failures have enforced me to be so. Now I have become introvert because the people around me enforced me to be so. If I am rigid my destiny has enforced me to be so. I am fastidious because of my subjective experiences .Neither I easily convince anyone Nor I easily get convinced by anyone. All these negative traits were positive when I was in TOP GEAR …of my life..when i used to live life king-size, when every sunshine used to make me feel good , just like I feel I should , and every sunset used to make me feel accomplished ……..now the things are completely changed , even the shadow of mine doesn’t follow me because I am in the dark …. But I am damn sure the Full Moon will appear once again, and this ray of hope keeps me live on and on and on………….
This is the hard core Introduction of a common man that’s… I am…Vickas Gupta....

Difference between Orkut & Facebook.
Orkut is just like our ancestral home where our childhood is brought up and situated in the conjested lanes in the heart of our city.
Facebook is just like our recently constructed villa in the posh locality of the same city.
So whenever you feel nostalgic, do access your Orkut account….. as you sometimes visit your old house because some memories never fade....
